The Nova Scotia International Student Program offers high school education to students from around the world.
Single semester and/or full-year programs are available in over 70 junior and senior high schools.
Nova Scotia is a safe, clean province with one of the best health care systems in the world.
The Nova Scotia International Student Program is committed to providing excellent education and a homestay environment to all international students.
Students are given the opportunity to choose from a variety of subjects focusing on arts, sciences, languages, and computers.
The subjects are taught under the careful supervision of certified teachers. All schools follow the curriculum set by the provincial government. Students can also choose from a variety of extracurricular activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, curling, skiing, and creative art to name a few.
Students are closely matched with a host family who lives in the area they will attend school. The host family provides a caring home environment for the student. Students are made to feel a part of their host family and are included in all celebrations and outings. Education in Nova Scotia – It is a place to grow.

What is NSISP?
Nova Scotia is a large island located off Canada's eastern coast, 8 hours from east to west and 2 hours from top to bottom. Wherever you are, you can reach the beautiful waterfront in 40 minutes to the beach. One of Canada's warmest cities, with four seasons, it's perfect for kids to enjoy all kinds of activities.
The Nova Scotia International Student Program is a system in which students are randomly assigned from a total of 7 districts of Nova Scotia. When applying for a program, the school district and the school district are assigned, and the district office of education directly allocates a homestay in the area according to the assigned school. As a result, the nationality ratio of international students can be controlled, and the biggest advantage is that the ratio of Korean students in a school does not increase significantly.
Nova Scotia Department of Education is open to applications from the first year of middle school to the second year of high school. Admission is available in February and September.
Nova Scotia boasts a very high native-speaking ratio compared to other states with about 93% of native speakers of English speaking English, providing a great opportunity to improve your English in a safe and friendly homestay.
